Tea Time

Play
In this game there are 61 tiles: 1 "Alice" tile and 60 character tiles (10 tiles each of 6 different characters). The 60 character tiles are double-sided, one side "normal" and the other "mirrored" (with a golden frame). Once in play tiles are never turned over, and always keep that same side.
To start each round, a grid of tiles is dealt out, with characters alternating "normal" and "mirrored".
On the first turn of each round, the first player takes a single character tile and replaces it with the Alice tile. In the second turn, the second player must take one or two tiles. From the third turn onwards, players must take one, two or three tiles. Tiles taken must be adjacent, and form a line - whether vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
Normal and mirrored versions of the same character cancel each other out on a one-for-one basis in your piles, and are discarded. (For example, if you have 3 Normal Cheshire Cats and take a Mirrored Cheshire Cat, you then have to discard one of each, leaving you with just 2 Normal Cheshire Cats.)
A round is over when all tiles have been taken from the table. The player who took the Alice tile starts the next round.
After the third round, the game is scored. (Boardgamearena also gives a running total during the course of the game.)
In the case of a tie, the winner is the player that holds the Alice tile.
Scoring
Each player scores their piles of taken tiles accordingly:
Number of Tiles | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5+ |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Victory Points | 5 | 1 | 3 | 6 | 10 | 15 |
(Note that an empty pile scores higher than a pile of 1 or 2 tiles!)
The Alice tile is also worth 4 points at the end of the game, to whoever holds it.
