Faraway

Overview
You play a traveler, wandering across the ever-changing continent of Alula. For eight rounds, you and your opponent(s) take turns playing cards left to right. This represents your journey across the continent.
Each card can score points, but only if they satisfy the requirements of the card. And this calculation is done from right to left (going backwards) as you return from your journey.
Beginning
Each player receives 3 Region cards for their hand. Then a number of cards (1 + # of players) are placed on the table. Players will choose from this bank to refill their hand at the end of the turn.
Card Anatomy
There are four biomes a card can belong to: Desert (blue), Forest (red), River (green), and City (yellow). The color and pattern on the floor represent which biome it is.
Region
The upper left corner shows the card's number, along with whether it is explored at daytime (a sun) or nighttime (a moon). A Clue (a map) may be next to this number.
The upper right will have zero or more icons--either an uddu stone
(blue rock), an okiko chimera head
(horned animal), or a goldlog thistle
(plant). These are used to fulfill requirements for points.
On the lower right is the points that the card will score. Some of them have prerequisites posted above. In the below example, there has to be two uddu stones and a thistle ahead of this card and/or in your Sanctuaries to score 12 points.
Sanctuaries
Sanctuaries have similar markings, but simpler and are played differently. The upper part has bonuses that can be used during scoring. The lower part may have additional fame points.
A player gets a Sanctuary if they play a card with a higher number than the last card they played.
Turn
Explore a Region
All players play a card.
Find a Sanctuary
If the card's number is greater than the previous card's number, the player draws as many Sanctuary cards as they have Clue (map) icons plus one into their hand. These will be used in the next phase.
End of Exploration
The player with the lowest number on the card played is the first to choose a card from the bank. Then the player with the next lowest number goes and so on. The remaining card in the supply is discarded.
Any player who found a Sanctuary chooses one and discards the rest.
End Game/Scoring
The game ends on the 8th round. Your Region cards are turned face down, then turned face up, one by one, starting with the last one. For each card, the fame points are calculated using all face-up Regions and all your Sanctuaries.
For example, if a requirement needs 2 uddu stones, and only 1 is face up, the requirement is not fulfilled, even though you may have a card with a second uddu stone in your journey, but it is face down. If it occurred before the face up card, it does not count.
Any points from Sanctuaries are then counted.
Once all players have scored their Regions and Sanctuaries the player with the highest score wins! Tiebreaker is the player with the lowest total Exploration Duration.
