Game interface tells me that it's still the other player's turn, however the turn-based interface detects this game as my "first in line" and waiting for my active turn. This happens when the other player plays half an action, in this case 1 out of 2 island blocks.

This is a critical bug since all of the other turn-based arena games are now not playable. They require me to move in the above game, where I'm unable to make a move.

I will look into this, although I think the problem might be at the framework/arena level rather than my specific game.

Hopefully, however, the urgency is reduced because I can see that eagle78 has now taken his turn on table 237730183 and so I believe you should be able to play again. Please try reloading the page if that isn't immediately shown to you.

Failing that, another developer has suggested that Arena may be showing you an incorrect link to the game you must play next, and instead you need to play this one: boardgamearena.com/3/pontedeldiavolo?table=238507602

Hello shadow,

Just to follow-up on this.
The situation indeed resolved itself since Eagle has eventually completed his turn.

There was actually only 1 game with a next move in my queue, but the one from Eagle where I couldn't technically make a move yet was prioritized and also marked as an active game. Therefore abiding by the arena prioritization rules.

I believe this may stem from the fact that Ponte does not have a confirm move action and the arena system may not 100% properly identify when a game should be proposed back to the other play.

Perhaps the same is true for other games without move confirmation that have the option to make half a move.

Hello Shadow,

Today I found the same behavior in another game (not ponte) that allows partial moves. I believe there is a general bug in how the active player is identified when the game itself is not loaded.

The instance in question was boardgamearena.com/3/thebuilders?table=264190880 (The Builders).

I've got some print screens but not sure what to do with it. Should I open up a general bug? The main problem is that you would need multiple users in order to reproduce this bug.

Not sure if you have an appropriate status for this but I think the game-specific bug is no longer relevant at this point.

Report closed automatically because it has not been upvoted or commented for a while.

Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.

In any case, when filling a bug report, make sure to have an explicit title linked to the incident (ex: with error message), so other players can recognize it and vote for it.
