Didn't allow me to upgrade the die, even when I tried upgrading something different. Eventually I just clicked Cancel and took the 2 VP instead.

next round when I tried again it magically worked just the way I wanted (2 sun shard to 4 VP) I took screenshot of this. So Obviously it worked and was legal. Just not the first time.
