I uses ios 15.1.1. Chrome or safari. I am able to choose between the explore options now, but still unable to choose a consume action on my iphone.

iOS browser same issue selecting phases for me. I have to click multiple times and sometimes accidentally select the same phase twice in a two player game which is costly

Clicking Consume and also Produce is almost impossible. Had to reload contineously, zoom like crazy, only get pop ups. Running out of time because of this every second game or more. Totally annoying.

Phase 4 buttons completely don’t work. Had to play without using phase 4, which means the game is broken.

Is there any solution to this issue? I’ve just tried RFTG on my iPhone for the first time but it seems pretty much unplayable as I can’t properly select the phases or cards. Is there any way of making it work?

I am unable to select the 2x trade phase, which makes the game kind of unplayable.

i found a workaround, which is to render the site in "desktop mode". i am then able to select the "2X" consume phase.

i am also on ios (v16) and the issue occurred on the mobile version of the site in both safari and the duckduckgo browser. swtching to "desktop view" in the duckduckgo browser resolved the problem.

I’m having the same problem with an iPhone 14 pro.

I can’t even select 2 cards to discard at the start of the game. This should be easy to reproduce. It happens every time.

I had same issue recently, the game was sluggish or didn’t acknowledge inputs when I was playing on my iPhone XR… my opponent was frustrated because I took too much time due to the struggle of registering my decisions and I got expelled from the game :(

It's a known issue between BGA and iOS devices. Touches aren't well registered in the upper right corner. Check for an existing website bug, or create a new one if there isn't one already.

Playing mobile it is really difficult to select cards or goods. Sometimes wrong taps are registered, as you often have to tap several times before the tapping is recognized. That’s really frustrating, I happened to play wrong cards with no possibility to cancel due to this issue. This problem occurs always, playing in chrome on iOS (both devices, also of my partner)

I tried fiddling a bit with the markup and maybe this makes things better. However as I have no iPhone to test this on I cannot tell whether there are any actual improvements.

I don't think it's better.

The phase 4 buttons are still very fiddly, and sometimes selecting a card to pay just doesn't work. It selcts the card with a lighter red X instead of the darker red mode.

No problems on android, but I can repro in Chrome on iOS.

I am a sw developer and would be happy to help debug once I get a new laptop, hopefully in the next few days.

Confirmed that requesting desktop version works around the problem. Very weird...

What a shame, there was one other positive reaction which probably was a fluke then.
The basic problem seems to be a known quirk of the Safari engine (which is used in most browsers on the iPhone) on mobile platforms (and not on desktop making it even less accessible) not triggering onClick events; sadly without a definite fix. However it seems to affect different people to a widely differing degree leaving me with lots of question marks.
Thanks for the offer, I'll have to think up a plan how to tackle this in some sane way and not just groping in the dark.
