Just had the same issue with New Texas. The settled planet has a colonize tag, but isn't adding the additional colonize credits during the Role phase.

I also had the same issue now, also tried using the colonize bonus on "New Texas" to add to my colonize action. I was also unable to use the bonus when following a colonize on the previous turn.

Also had the same issue, wasn't able to use any planet bonuses.

The effect of the colonize icon on a planet is to reduce further settle requirement not to give extra role card.

Using #98621657 for example you should be able to settle Spielbany VI with only 3 icons on it (was 4).
And you did settle on Spielbany VI with only 3 icons, that is where the icon on New Texas come to effect.

The game worked according the rules in the replay of #98621657

rudymeow is correct. The Colonize icons are different for the others. All of the other icons are treated as though you have that card when following/boosting a role, but for Colonize it is essentially treated as an automatic colony for all future planets. So for example, if you have three colonize icons showing, you can settle a 3-colony-cost planet without having any colonize cards on it.

Had Mik Mik planet (provides colonize symbol) and Fertile Ground tech (provides colonize symbol) and, during role phase, attempted to colonize a planet requiring 5 colonizations using three colonize cards...the symbols on the discovered planet and the tech did not register. I should have been able to colonize the planet, but only the three cards used were added to it.

This has happened in my last two games, where my planet's colonize symbol did not get added to the boost.

When using Improved Colonize didn't let me settle a planet requiring 4 colonizations, with three colonize cards and Mik-Mik in my empire.

I thought this was a bug, but it's actually how the game is played.

I am not clear still is there bug or not?
if you have 2 symbols showning, you should be able to settle planet with 3 settle requirement with only one colony.
If it does not let you its a bug.

This is not a bug. People are just misunderstanding how the colonize icons work. They are expecting to visually see them show up on unsettled planets when doing the colonize role, instead of knowing that they automatically apply to all unsettled planets.
