At table 10459903 there were 10 doubles rolled and 33 non-doubles. This is suspicious, but it is impossible to prove there is a bug. However, I suggest the php code be inspected to see if it uses the "rand" function. PHP rand uses the underlying "libc" rand function, which is notoriously non-random in some implementations. In particular it is bad in Windows, which might be what the server is running(?) Even in unix, "rand" is a poor choice. I suggest using the preferred PHP function for random numbers: "mt_rand". Easy to switch, as the function interfaces are identical.

Also, I would love to view the source code, to look for this problem, and others. Long ago I wrote the math library IBM used in many computers, including a then state-of-the-art random number generator, so I might spot other sources of non-randomness. I have a BGA Studio login, but the owner of the code would have to grant me access.

PS: seeding the random number generator can also cause problems, so I suggest *not* using srand/mt_srand, unless you seed the function from random.org, or some other source of true randomness.

You created a duplicate bug to one you already have posted to. You might want to check his answer there, and concentrate discussion on this topic to one bug report.

Why is Backgammon game not fair? The last two games dies throws are:
First game:
Me: 138 points with 4 times doubles
Opponent: 174 points with 5 times doubles

Second game:
Me: 158 point with 4 times doubles
Opponent: 195 points with 5 times doubles

J’ai le meme probleme. Dans une journee c’est tres difficile de gagner avec plusieurs essais (20) et normalement je gagne souvent. marcelf

Un altre ID de partida / ID de moviment
Prémer F5 ha ajudat a arreglar el problema?
El problema apareix diversos cops? Cada cop? a l'atzar?
