(Table # doesn't matter.)
In my last game, my opponents both got confused about the squirrel / crow cards, thinking that a crow / squirrel at the bottom seed card was instead linked to the bird at the perch below it which it was tucked underneath, rather than the seed card to the left where it was more distant from. (There was just one crow or squirrel seen yet at the time I think.)
It is unfortunate that the game designer happened to make the crow / squirrel cards portrait rather than landscape as this would make it more obvious that they are linked to the landscaped seed cards for newer players. Plus it would make your life easier in trying to fit them on the board.
Is there any way to show they are linked to the seed cards visually? Line in the background behind them?
And maybe spacing the feeders a little further below so that they do not overlap.
Zoom level didn't change anything - they were always tucked under the bird card of the top feeder:

but i could try to push the feeders lower so it doesn't overlap with the bird on the perch. but the cards would still overlap when multiple crow/squirrels.
maybe something like the image here

Another idea, which you may have already experimented with, with the squirrel / crow cards is to shrink them to the height of the adjacent seed cards. Like this:
imgur.com/a/3pVfcns
I wonder if people will then complain about the size, but currently some of those cards are partially obscured anyway, if > 1 squirrel / crow, so maybe a smaller size wouldn't matter. Plus the tooltips are already great from what I recall.
Anyway, just a thought. Thanks so much for implementing the game and being receptive to ideas.
was originally thinking the same thing about shrinking or focusing on specific part of the crow/squirrel card. personally i have a preference to keep the game pieces as close to the physical version thus went with the overlap.
could open a new suggestion and if there is enough interest could explore.
