Dice have always been at the heart of games because they introduce an element of both chance and unpredictability, but all the experiences you’ve shared with us, as well as our own, have made us realize that we need to be able to adapt the randomness of games: don’t let the dice dictate the outcome any longer! No roll of the dice should ever produce the same result several times in a row, and you’ll have a better chance of getting the face you want with 7 Wonder Dice.
Through millions of games played, we have been able to refine a roll model that naturally adapts to each game according to its rules: it cannot be identical between a game of Backgammon, Catan, King of Tokyo or Krosmaster Arena. This analysis was made possible using the famous ‘bga_rand’ function, which is used for every dice and card roll. It is this function, both obscure and misunderstood, that lies at the heart of your gaming experience and is mentioned in our FAQ (1).

SETUP
From the next update of our site, you will therefore be able to join game tables with different dice roll options:
- Smooth: to ensure a perfectly balanced distribution of results: a D6 will therefore have exactly as many 1s as 6s in your game (provided there are at least 6 dice rolls; beyond that, the results obtained cannot appear in excess). This should allow you to anticipate your next moves as effectively as possible.
- Beneficial: to force an extraordinary stroke of luck and frustrate your opponents. We do, however, recommend this option for cooperative games.
- Chaotic: to favor dice rolls that will further destabilize your opponents’ plans and lead to unexpected situations.
- Physical: which requires you to shake your phone or mouse before each roll to maximize your luck
- Home Advantage: to favor only the table host (reserved for Premium accounts only)
ELO ADJUSTMENT
As these changes affect the outcome of ranked matches, we will be revising the ELO system so that it better reflects your skill level for each game. Aware that luck is a key factor in success or failure, we will introduce a luck score. This score will let you know how luck is playing a part in your victories. It will also allow you to check your opponents’ luck levels and restrict access to your tables for players who are too lucky.
This luck score will be reset on the 1st of each month and will evolve separately from your ELO.
TOURNAMENTS
As the roll of the dice will be influenced by the options, the tournament organizer should take great care to avoid any chaos or abuse that might hinder the smooth running of the tournament.
Please note that “Advantage” mode will only be available for official tournaments and at the organizers’ discretion.
Finally, as “Beneficial” mode may result in longer games in certain extreme cases, we will adjust the effects based on your feedback.
ARENA MODE
To avoid disrupting the current Arena season, the dice roll options will evolve over the course of the 6-week Arena period without the need for the gurus to intervene:
- “Smooth” for the first 2 weeks
- “Beneficial” in the middle of the season
- “Chaotic” for the final two weeks
The “Physical” mode is not applicable in the Arena for obvious reasons of fairness.
Furthermore, an adjustment will be made based on your Arena tier and that of your opponent, so that the supposedly weaker player may occasionally benefit from certain advantageous effects. In short, players in the Bronze League will have an advantage over those in the Elite League.
JOIN OUR GAMEFOUND CAMPAIGN
In addition to the various game modes, as we are committed to being a true complement to physical games, we are in the process of signing an agreement with a games accessory manufacturer to integrate these mechanics into real dice.
They will incorporate a unique, patented component: the miniaturized BGA Random Chip, which will adapt the dice rolls to suit your game type. You will then be able to change the roll settings from your phone before the games begin. An anti-cheating mechanism will be built in to ensure that every player around the table is alerted via a vibration in the dice if the configuration changes during the game.
You’ll even be able to pair your dice with your BGA account to enjoy a live feed of your rolls from your living room table directly into your BGA games (be careful not to leave multiple tabs open with different tables, as results cannot be guaranteed).
A Gamefound campaign will be launched in April to allow you to get exclusive designs.
Here is a sneak preview of the first design proposed for this campaign.
Moving forward, we are currently considering adapting the BGA Random Chip directly into the playing cards to achieve a more harmonious shuffle of your cards, which could even be integrated into booster packs.
(1) We are aware that some players may have been alarmed by the non-random nature of this function’s results during our testing phases. We had to replace it several times with a more random function when some players conducted in-depth analyses without our knowledge.
BGA Rick Roll
Els daus sempre han estat al cor dels jocs perquè introdueixen un element d'atzar i imprevisibilitat, però totes les experiències que heu compartit amb nosaltres, així com les nostres, ens han fet adonar que hem de ser capaços d'adaptar l'aleatorietat dels jocs: no deixeu que els daus dictin el resultat més temps! Cap tirada de daus hauria de produir mai el mateix resultat diverses vegades seguides, i tindreu més possibilitats d'obtenir la cara que voleu amb 7 Wonder Dice.
A través de milions de partides jugades, hem pogut refinar un model de tirada que s'adapta naturalment a cada joc segons les seves regles: no pot ser idèntic entre una partida de Backgammon, Catan, King of Tokyo o Krosmaster Arena. CONFIGURACIÓ
A partir de la propera actualització del nostre lloc web, podreu unir-vos a taules de joc amb diferents opcions de tirada de daus:
- Suau: per garantir una distribució de resultats perfectament equilibrada: un D6 tindrà, per tant, exactament tants uns com sis a la partida (sempre que hi hagi almenys 6 tirades de daus; més enllà d'això, els resultats obtinguts no poden aparèixer en excés). Això hauria de permetre't anticipar els teus propers moviments de la manera més efectiva possible.
- Beneficiós: per forçar un cop de sort extraordinari i frustrar els teus oponents. Tanmateix, recomanem aquesta opció per a jocs cooperatius.
- Caòtic: per afavorir les tirades de daus que desestabilitzaran encara més els plans dels teus oponents i conduiran a situacions inesperades.
- Físic: que requereix que sacsegi el telèfon o el ratolí abans de cada tirada per maximitzar la seva sort
- Avantatge de la llar: per afavorir només l'amfitrió de la taula (reservat només per a comptes Premium)
AJUSTAMENT ELO
Com que aquests canvis afecten el resultat de les partides classificades, revisarem el sistema ELO perquè reflecteixi millor el vostre nivell d'habilitat a cada partida. Conscients que la sort és un factor clau en l'èxit o el fracàs, introduirem una puntuació de sort. Aquesta puntuació us permetrà saber com la sort influeix en les vostres victòries. També us permetrà comprovar els nivells de sort dels vostres oponents i restringir l'accés a les vostres taules als jugadors que tinguin massa sort.
Aquesta puntuació de sort es reiniciarà l'1 de cada mes i evolucionarà per separat del teu ELO.
TORNEIGS
Com que la tirada dels daus es veurà influenciada per les opcions, l'organitzador del torneig ha de tenir molta cura per evitar qualsevol caos o abús que pugui dificultar el bon funcionament del torneig.
Tingueu en compte que el mode "Avantatge" només estarà disponible per a tornejos oficials i a discreció dels organitzadors.
Finalment, com que el mode "Beneficiós" pot fer que les partides durin més en alguns casos extrems, ajustarem els efectes en funció dels vostres comentaris.
MODE ARENA
Per evitar interrompre la temporada actual de l'Arena, les opcions de tirada de daus evolucionaran al llarg del període de 6 setmanes de l'Arena sense necessitat que els gurus hi intervinguin:
- "Suau" durant les dues primeres setmanes
- "Beneficiós" a mitja temporada
- "Caòtic" durant les dues últimes setmanes
El mode "Físic" no és aplicable a l'Arena per raons òbvies d'equitat.
A més, es farà un ajust en funció del teu nivell d'Arena i el del teu oponent, de manera que el jugador suposadament més feble pugui ocasionalment beneficiar-se de certs efectes avantatjosos. En resum, els jugadors de la Lliga Bronze tindran un avantatge sobre els de la Lliga Elit.
UNEIX-TE A LA NOSTRA CAMPANYA DE GAMEFUND
A més dels diversos modes de joc, com que estem compromesos a ser un veritable complement per als jocs físics, estem en procés de signar un acord amb un fabricant d'accessoris per a jocs per integrar aquestes mecàniques en daus reals.
Incorporaran un component únic i patentat: el xip aleatori BGA miniaturitzat, que adaptarà les tirades de daus al vostre tipus de joc. Aleshores podreu canviar la configuració de les tirades des del telèfon abans que comencin les partides. S'incorporarà un mecanisme antitrampa per garantir que tots els jugadors de la taula siguin alertats mitjançant una vibració als daus si la configuració canvia durant la partida.
Fins i tot podràs emparellar els teus daus amb el teu compte de BGA per gaudir d'una transmissió en directe de les teves tirades des de la taula de la teva sala d'estar directament a les teves partides de BGA (vés amb compte de no deixar diverses pestanyes obertes amb diferents taules, ja que no es poden garantir els resultats).

De cara al futur, actualment estem considerant adaptar el xip aleatori BGA directament a les cartes de joc per aconseguir una barreja més harmoniosa de les vostres cartes, que fins i tot es podria integrar en paquets de reforç.
