You probably want to stick before you pop. Also, don't go for the early high score strat if you want to have some unbroken columns in the later rounds (your columns don't reset).

• In the early stages of the game, you want to evenly distribute your dice as much as possible so you can delay the pop.
• In the early stages of the game is also a good time to re-roll more as it's perfectly fine to have more dice. In the later stages, you should be very selective in re-rolling.
• Know that you get red much much more often than yellow.
• Keep an eye on your opponent, if s/he is about to pop, you should position yourself as high as possible without popping.
• Once you have a column popped, you can concentrate all subsequent dice to that column in order to avoid popping others (or to control the timing of popping).
